Insurance and breakdown assistance are separate products
Do not assume a black box has automatically called for help. Unless the policy specifically includes a connected breakdown feature, contact your breakdown provider or arrange recovery yourself. Any later garage road test may also appear as another telematics journey.
Telematics can see unusual movement without diagnosing the fault
The system may show the car stopped on a motorway shoulder or that a journey ended unexpectedly, but it generally cannot tell whether the problem is a flat tyre, electrical failure or empty fuel tank.
